Clucking all over the world......

First job of the week - getting the rafters onto the porch....

Next job was the put the cedar slats in so that they match the overhangs....

And then finally the sheathing goes on top.....

Tidy up the corners...

And voila you are done...

He had his second load of cedar beams delivered this week, ready for the front porch.  One evening after work he called in the muscle and I helped him to move them into the house.... Where I had thought the beams for the back porch were heavy I was Oh So Wrong... these are heavy.. ridiculously heavy!

Good Luck with building that front porch Mr M....

We have been enjoying lots of this....

Which is keeping the garden going well, the tomatoes are still ripening and we are starting to enjoy our autumn veggies and despite a poor germination rate on the parsnips the first one we had tonight did not disappoint...

edit to add the carrots are small as I was taking some out to thin the rows ;)

Finally it was a sad week for the FU as the old matriarch Ginger clucked her last cluck before clucking on over the bridge!

She had a good chicken life, and not all chickens get to enjoy life to the full, live in 2 different states and die at a respectable old age.   Sleep well sweet Ginger.....
